Application
Hose selection is governed by varies factors including flow rate, maximum operating pressure , and type of media, temperature and movement.
Operating pressure
Bilflex supplies hoses and rated for continuous operating at the maximum operating design pressure. However de-rating factors must be applied in high temperature applications.
The operating pressure is normally one-fourth of the hose minimum burst pressure.
Chemical resistance
Compatibility of tube material can be checked against compatibility charts for basic guidance on selections.
End fittings
A comprehensive range of industrial end fitting is available from Bilflex for termination of metallic hoses by Argon TIG welding or Silver Soldering. Customers end fittings can also be reused is some cases. Pressure/leak test is carried out as a matter of course.
