Hoses used to transport hot water MUST NOT be used to transport pressurized steam. Furthermore general and multiple purpose hoses are NOT intended to transport water for human consumption. Do not use hoses that consist of non-oil resistant rubber in oil environments. Finally, water hoses with a helical wire will reduce the working pressure of the assembly.

The lower pressure hoses suits for transport water, petroleum-based fluids, or water-based materials from point of supply to point of use. High-pressure water hoses have working pressure above 300 PSI. Due to the large volume of high-pressure water service requirement, they are suitable for construction, and mining.
